Recently, the great folks who make the Zori Sandal sent me a pair to try out and share my thoughts with you.
Initially (before receiving them) I thought, “Okay…it’s a sandal. How different can it be?” Wow! Was I wrong on that assumption! First of all, this sandal is sort of patterned after a type of traditional Japanese sandal, and they are super comfortable. If you think back, you’ll know that in the Japanese culture, sandals are worn as the footwear of choice and tradition, and as such, had to be comfortable!
The official name for this sandal is the ‘Neat Zori Sport Orthotic Slip-On’, which is basically a big name for ‘best sandals on the planet’!
In Florida, we wear sandals a lot, and we wear them for a long time. A lot of our recreation includes water, and these sandals can get wet and then rapidly dry. That is a must for me! They’re equally as great at the beach as they are at the pool or lake. If you get sand on them, just rinse them off…no problem.
The Zori also lets your feet breathe naturally – a lot of shoes trap moisture and this can lead to some potentially harmful foot problems. The Zori Sandal is very lightweight and has an ergonomic sole. I never would have thought that I would care about that, but the comfort level is off the chain!
They’re made of very high quality rubber, padded straps and a tough and durable nylon toe piece. They come in black or red, and this will be a sandal that you will never want to take off!
