This is my young friend, Cambria. Her family goes to my church and when I got the opportunity to review this NIV Bible for Teen Girls, I knew right away that I wanted to give it to Cambria. She’s a lovely young lady and loves the Lord. Cambria just started the 9th grade. I don’t know about you, but I remember the 9th grade, and it was tough! Everything little thing in life seemed to hold the utmost importance: Will he like me? Will I pass this test? Is this the right shade of nail polish? Are my clothes right? Is my hair right? Am I listening to the right music? Will he like me? Will he like me? Will he really like me? You get the picture.
Without a strong faith and relationship with Christ, our teens today have a much harder struggle. Social media is screaming in their ears, television shows them more than they ever need to see, cell phones keep them connected but still set apart. They are searching more than ever to belong and to be loved; for someone to care. Even our Christian teens have a very real struggle, and that’s why I love this Bible.
