I love that.
My absolute favorite part of this particular Bible is the gold lettering inside – the name of each book is in this rich gold lettering, as are the chapter numbers. My husband, who is an artist, noted that there’s a lot of “red” in this particular gold (only a trained eye would see this) and that means that it’s very legible and not reflective (which would make it harder to read). Anyway, I don’t know the technicalities of it – I just know what I like!

If you’re not familiar with the ESV (English Standard Version), to me, it’s a bit like a cross between the King James and the NIV. In reality, the ESV is the newest “revision” of a line of translations that goes back to Tyndale and the KJV. So you’ll get the “flavor” of the King James version that you may have grown up with, but it’s a little more readable in my opinion.
