Healthy Eating/Dieting Tips + Coupons!

It’s that time again when lots and lots of us decide to lose weight or get healthier in the new year. Here are some diet tips (and coupons) that may help!

It’s imperative that you get enough fiber in your diet. It helps satiety (the feeling of fullness) and it helps to move fat through your body! You’d probably be amazed at how LITTLE fiber you’re getting if you aren’t focused on it. I love Fiber One dry. And for a cool idea, crush it into fine crumbs, dredge butternut squash slices (like fries) first in egg substitute, then in your fiber crumbs and bake. Yummo!

A bowl of multi grain Cheerios is a great snack with skim milk – and it helps you to up that fiber intake. Or mix dry cheerios with dry fiber one, raisins, a few peanuts and enjoy some trail mix!

Studies have also shown that getting enough dairy in your diet will help you to lose weight. This Yoplait Greek yogurt satisfies my sweet tooth. I mix a little fresh fruit and granola in it and it’s great at breakfast!

Cool Whip??? On a healthy eating plan? YES! Fat Free cool whip has only about 15 calories for two big tablespoons. Here’s what I do with mine: spread two tablespoons of fat free cool whip on a caramel corn rice cake. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, then add another caramel corn rice cake to make a ‘sandwich’. Freeze for about an hour. You will have a super low-cal ‘ice cream’ sandwich. It is soooo good!
