Recently, we received a copy of the book ‘Redeeming Love‘ by Francine Rivers so that we could share our review with Coupondipity Readers.
Redeeming Love is a book that you won’t be able to put down! Whether you’re looking for a beach read, or something to curl up with on a stormy night, Redeeming Love fits the bill.
The story takes place in the 1850s, when gold was King. Men would do just about anything for the tiniest handful of the glittery stuff.
Angel was sold into prostitution as a young child, and now expects nothing, except betrayal, from every man that she comes into contact with. For that matter, she doesn’t trust a lot of women, either.
But then Michael Hosea comes into her life, and listening to a pretty strong calling from God, tells Angel that he’s going to marry her. Angel will have none of that. Marriage is not for women like her, not now, not ever. But slowly Michael begins to win her trust, just a tiny bit at a time. A tragic event causes Angel to reevaluate and accept Michael’s proposal and become his wife. But she still cannot believe that he could love a person like her.
Eventually, Angel’s self doubt gets the best of her, and she flees. She runs away from everything in her life that could save her.
