The book, ‘The Dooples and the Shapes’ is a book aimed at teaching children the mathematical concepts behind lines: parallel, curved, straight,thick or thin…and that they touch at points, form patterns and shapes.
The story takes ‘shape’ (no pun intended) as a group of writing implements as characters practice making shapes, awaiting their leader, Mr. Dooba Dee Doo. They strive to impress him with their new skills.
