Product Review: Magnum Ice Cream Bars

Okay, seriously. The email went something like this, “Would you like for us to send you some coupons so that you can try our Magnum Ice Cream Bars and then share your thoughts with your readers?” Hmmmm. Let me think about that for a minute. Heck, yeah!

So the great folks who represent the Unilever Ice Creams (Magnum, Breyers, Popsicle, Fruttare, Klondike) sent the coupons, and I went out and chose the Magnum Gold Ice Cream Bars. Folks, this is heaven on a stick. It’s awesome from the time you rip open the box. There are three quite large bars in each box, and each is wrapped in glistening gold foil. Kinda makes you excited already!

The outermost covering of the bar is a beautiful, rich caramel color that wraps a layer of Belgian chocolate and all of that enrobes vanilla bean and caramel sea salt swirl ice cream. Have mercy. These are the kind of ice cream bars that you stick in an empty broccoli box in the freezer to hide them from the kids…I mean, really…their little palates aren’t nearly sophisticated enough (like yours) to appreciate this kind of gourmet awesomeness.

At $4 per box, yes, maybe these are a little more expensive than the cheapo ice cream bars…but you would happily pay $3 each at an ice cream store for these babies. And they’re pretty rich, so they definitely satisfy your craving for something sweet. With those cheapo ice creams bars, c’mon, admit it…you’ve eaten two in one sitting.

Magnum Ice Cream bars are a fantastic treat and can be a great way to reward yourself. “For what?”, you ask? Uhhh…for having the good sense to buy them in the first place!
