A Spooky Good Time!

Last weekend, we were invited by SeaWorld to attend the opening of their Halloween event and share it with you!

Ghosts and Goblins alike had a spooky good time! Throughout the park there were ‘stops’ where kids (and adults) could stop and collect candy and goodies. We were even provided with a great bag in which to collect our loot. This was a huge hit for the kids since they’re used to us telling them ‘Not now’ when they want to buy a treat every 2 minutes!

There were also many photo ops that were set up so that you could get some great Halloween photos of the family.

The Halloween event takes place weekends throughout October.

Here are some tips to help make your trip great!

Buy the refillable drink cup! In Florida, it is HOT! And you will all get thirsty…often. Plus, in the tropical heat of our state, you need to stay hydrated. The big refillable cup will get you unlimited refills for the entire season for only $.99 each. This is a bargain, specifically for the whining that it will prevent!

Pay the extra $5 for VIP parking. It may not be such a big deal when you arrive, but at the end of the day, you will be sooooo glad that your car is right in front of you.

Plan your day before arriving at the park. Decide which shows are ‘must sees’ and get there early to get a good seat, especially for the One Ocean (Shamu) show and the Clyde and Seamore show – they fill up quickly.

Be aware that the park allows you to take small snack items and water inside. Small bags of pretzels or granola bars will be great for the kids to snack on, and you can save your $$ for a great meal.

The new Antarctica Exhibit is fabulous! But it is definitely chilly in the penguin habitat. Take light jackets and you’ll be able to stay in there a lot longer!
