I don’t know about you, but when I heard awhile back that New York was making it illegal to buy a large soda, I was gobsmacked! (That’s a word for ”whaaaaat?????”) Let’s say that a large, sugary soda is bad for you. Isn’t it your choice? Why haven’t they banned dessert? Twinkies? Fried chicken?
Take 10 seconds and sign the petition to keep the politicians out of your grocery cart. It should be YOUR choice! All you enter is name, email and zip. That’s it! Seriously less than 10 seconds.

I wholeheartedly agree – I am so sick of someone else making decisions on what is healthy or not. I do lots of my own research before purchasing products for my family and what’s right for me may not be right for everyone.
This is just plain ridiculous…While I am all for healthy eating and buy mostly organic or natural foods, I think people should be allowed to make their own choices about what they eat….If they want to ban anything, it should be GMO’s!
That is crazy?! It’s so disheartening that individuals blame others…corporations, advertising, government…instead of being accountable and responsible for their own choices. If I want to buy a soda, I am intelligent enough to know what it is and do so. The government certainly shouldn’t have to make a law about it. It’s like so many other behavioral and social issues…seat belts, smoking, gambling….etc.
I completely agree! There is something very disturbing about the lack of accountability in our society. We are all adults and as such need to be responsible for our own decisions. While I do my best to make healthy decisions about the foods I feed my family I should also be allowed to treat myself to a giant soda once in awhile if I so choose. Having said that, it does shock me that in a country that bans a large soda we can’t even get labels on GMOs. :/
