Recently, the great folks over at Rustico sent us a selection of some of their leather products to try out and share out thoughts with you.
They sent us a gorgeous Traveler Leather Journal, a Wool Luggage Tag and a beautiful Passport Cover.
I have to say that the Traveler Leather Journal is my favorite item, although the others are fantastic.
The journal has very elegant paper with hand-torn deckled edges and a slight texture that will allow me to write down thoughts, memories, or even notes about a favorite vineyard, meal or restaurant during my travels. And with 160 blank pages, that’s a lot of room for my various and sundry musings! I love to take a journal with me on my travels, and traveling is one of our passions. Not only is journaling a great way to safeguard those wonderful memories, it’s also a good way to remember the name of that little trattoria that was so good in Rome, or the little leather shop in Florence, or where to go to skip the lines to see the Eiffel Tower.
Here’s what you need to know about this unique journal:
-160 blank 6.25″ x 7.5″ pages
-Rough-cut, cream colored paper
-Made from top-grain cowhide
-Flap-tie closure
-Hand-sewn binding
The wool luggage tag comes in very handy – my luggage looks like everyone else’s, so I try to put something on it to make it stand out, and this wool luggage tag is very unique. You will definitely be able to spot your bags right off, and you can order the tags in several great colors.
As for the passport cover, having a leather one is awesome, because if you travel much, your passport gets a lot of wear and tear. Not only do you want to protect it, but there’s just something so cool about a worn leather passport cover. It tells the world, “I’ve been there! I’m going there! The world is my playground!” Or maybe it just screams good taste.
