My little guy is seven and he is über inquisitive. Yours probably is too! This TIME for Kids Big Book of When satisfies that curiosity! It’s not only fun to read, but educational as well. As the cover indicates, the book has 801 facts that kids want to know about WHEN things first happened.
There are 11 chapters chock full of interesting facts for kids (and adults!):
- Chapter 1: Time
- Chapter 2: Animals
- Chapter 3: Communications
- Chapter 4: Flight
- Chapter 5: Energy
- Chapter 6: The Solar System
- Chapter 7: The Digital Age
- Chapter 8: Food (my personal favorite!!)
- Chapter 9: Transportation
- Chapter 10: Civilizations
- Chapter 11: Sports
Plus a great glossary and index. And I was very pleasantly surprised to see great experiments that your kids can conduct (with adult supervision, of course). There are step-by-step instructions so that the factual information in the book really comes alive as they experience it themselves. We have already done the ‘Build a Sundial’ experiment and we both learned some cool stuff from that one!
Do you know when people first started eating peanut butter? Get the book and see! Did you know that in Japan, a popular pizza includes eel, squid and a combination of mayonnaise, potato and bacon?
We highly recommend this book – five stars!
