I love kids’ books that are not only entertaining, but teach kids as well. Too often, books that are ‘educational’ are boring and long. The kids are simply not interested. But with author Carole Roman’s “If You Were Me and Lived In….” series, your kids will not only love reading these books, but they will learn some great facts about other cultures.
The books are not too long and wordy, and they have stuff included that my 7 year old really enjoys, such as what his name might be if he lived in India, or Russia, or Portugal. He learns a few words in that language, some common foods that they may eat, and information about cultural identity, like holidays.
