Did you know that September 14-20 is Child Passenger Safety Week sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)? The goal of Child Passenger Safety week is to make sure parents and caregivers are properly securing children (ages 0-12) in the best car restraint whether it be rear-facing, forward-facing, booster, or seat belt. Did you know that car crashes are a leading cause of death for children 1 to 13 years old? Often times these deaths and injuries can be prevented by proper use of child restraints and seat belts. Make sure to visit Momma T and Family for some from the experts at Safety 1st!
Have you had your child’s car seat checked? This September 20th is National Seat Check Saturday and you can click here to find a car seat check near you!
