This great book combines excellent recipes with great stories! It’s a win-win and you won’t go wrong with this choice.

The Third Thursday Community Potluck is a real group that meets on the third Thursday every month (hence the name!).

You know, when you go to a potluck, everyone brings their ‘specialty’ dish – the one that only they can make just like that! Well, this cookbook is chock full of those recipes. They all feel as though they’ve been handed down from generation to generation, and you’re getting a rare peek into someone’s granny’s old recipe box. Lucky you!

There are a lot of ‘farm to table’ type selections in the book, so what is seasonal for them may not be seasonal in your ‘neck of the woods’ – but probably close enough.

I think most home cooks will have no problems reading, understanding and preparing these recipes, although some of them are time consuming. But the results are well worth the time investment.

And the stories are inspirational and heartwarming.

If you’re going to get a cookbook, this would be a great one to add to your collection or give as a gift!
