You may remember a few weeks ago I told you about some of my favorite Christmas Memories! And that Walmart is having some great kids’ toys events in their stores.

So we went to one of the Toyland events at our local Walmart and our little guy got to check out tons of the hottest new toys chosen by kids. Walmart has added extra stock of these toys, so now is the time to get them!

We picked up the Spin Master Zoomer Dino and our little guy was thrilled to get to be an official toy tester. This was one of the items on his list, so you know he was super happy to get it early.

As soon as we got home, of course Boomer the Dino had to be rescued from his box. Although we knew we’d have to charge him, he did have a little bit of a charge, and as soon as we turned him on, he started wagging his tail, snapping his jaws and making some noise. Our little guy was enchanted!

The Zoomer Dino was smaller than I expected (this is a good thing!). He’s just a little bigger than, say, a football. Although we didn’t really need the directions to start having fun, we went ahead and read them so that we could tell what his eye color means (mad, curious, happy, etc.). You can control him with a remote or with your hand, which is super cool! And the more you interact with him, the happier he gets and the more stuff he ‘learns’ to do.

The directions were super easy to figure out and our little guy had mastered everything in just a few minutes.

One of the greatest things about this toy for parents is that it charges with a USB cord…so no batteries! Ever! (Well, you have to have batteries for the remote, but the kids can definitely play with Boomer without the remote if you happen to run out of batteries…) That’s a definite win in my book!
