As Thankgsiving comes each year, I reflect on everything I’m thankful for. I am in a season of life right now that I love! I have a nice home, a great family, a kind and loving husband. I get to work at home in yoga pants and a t-shirt. I get to take vacations. There is almost no stress in my life…not many people can say that! I am blessed beyond measure!
Because of the blessings in my life, I feel that I need to do what I can do for others who are in need. And this year, 7-Up and Canada Dry have made it super simple for us to help a great organization, the Military Warrior Support Foundation.
If you want to take about 30 seconds to help, all you have to do is share what you’re thankful for on social media using the hashtag #Thanksgiveitup. And for the rest of this month, the Dr Pepper Snapple Group will donate $1 (up to $25,000) for each hashtag to the Military Warrior Support Foundation though the Project Rebuild Campaign. Project Rebuild helps award combat wounded heroes homes with no mortgages. These are the people who have become wounded defending our country. Don’t they deserve a roof over their heads? And now we can join together and help!
So tweet, peeps! Here’s a tweet that you can simply copy and paste: “This year I’m thankful for my ______ and ________ #Thanksgiveitup”
That’s it!
Now…one last thing. Now that you have 7-Up on your minds, you may want to try this awesome recipe for 7-Up cake! It’s a big deal here in the south and would be a perfect accompaniment to your holiday meals! What I love about this cake (aside from the fact that it’s slap your mama good) is that although it uses a box mix, it tastes like you made it from scratch. Winning!
