Okay – I get it. You may be of the Christian faith, or you may not. You may believe in God, or you may not. You may read the Bible – you may not. But here’s the thing: there are a lot of truths in the Christian bible that are great words to live by no matter what you believe. I mean, how can you argue with, “….the greatest of these is love?”, regardless of your religious beliefs? Or loving your neighbor – or “Don’t steal stuff”. Or feed the poor. Take care of the orphans and widows. And for you moms out there, “Obey your parents!”

And maybe you don’t believe in the Christian religion – but there’s some great poetry, prose and literature in the Bible.

What better time to get your family members (or friends!) new Bibles than here at Christmas? And Family Christian Stores are making them super easy to afford, too! Right now all NIV Bibles are on sale for 40% off! Check out a few of the Bibles that I found for teen girls and guys: (And these two are actually on sale for 50% off!).

It’s tough to be a teen, especially in today’s world. The voices that speak to our teens are louder than ever. Twenty five years ago, they had their friends, the TV, radio and a phone hardwired in the house. Not so in today’s world. It wasn’t as hard for parents to be the loudest ‘voice’ that they heard. Today, they have cell phones, streaming videos from anywhere, texting, iPads, iPods, the internet, hundreds of TV channels, satellite radio, and on and on. Hundreds of voices inundating them with messages on a daily basis. But one message hasn’t changed and it’s loud and clear: and that is God’s word! That is what our teens need to keep them centered and grounded today, with all of the messages that they are being bombarded with.

niv girls

I really love the look of this one and your girl would be proud to carry it around with her in school or throughout her day.

NIV True Images: The Bible for Teen Girls is designed just for teen girls living in today’s world. This Bible explores how the timeless truths of the Scripture relate to her life, her relationships, and the things she care about most, helping her to build a closer relationship with God as she grows. It uses the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible text, making it easy to read and understand.

The special features in this Bible for Teen Girls will lead her to discover His will for all areas of her life, including relating to her family, dealing with friends, work, sports, guys and more. Whether she’s reading the reality-based “In Focus” stories about real teenage issues, drawing encouragement from “Love Notes From God,” or letting “Truth or Dare” challenge her in practical ways, she will love learning how deeply God is truly involved in her life

Packed with personal notes, cool quizzes, challenging insights, smart advice and open discussion about life today, this special edition has pink page edges that coordinate with the trendy espresso and pink flower Italian Duo-Tone™ cover.

Your teen will love taking this Bible with her to church and school, and the lessons inside will guide her through her difficult teen years.

niv guys

And here’s one for the boys. I love the rugged look of this one. And it’s great how the binding allows it to lay flat. You know how aggravating it is to be reading when the book’s pages flop around? That won’t happen with this one!

NIV Revolution: The Bible for Teen Guys is for every guy who wants to live a revolutionary life. Like no other Bible he have ever read, NIV Revolution is for today’s teen guy living in a messy world. God knows all about this world – He is the authority when it comes to understanding relationships, communication, sex, parents, popularity, peer pressure, drugs, divorce and everything else teenagers face. He also knows what makes teenage boys tick, loves them more than they can ever imagine and wants them to experience a life of purpose, responsibility and impact.

This Bible will strengthen teens and hone their spiritual revolutionary edge. “Battlelines” show how other teen guys deal with relationships, sex, drug abuse and other real-life issues, “Match-Ups” pit the good guys against the bad guys of the Bible to uncover winning – and losing – approaches to life and “Live the Revolution” notes show teens how to change their lives and revolutionize their impact on others.

  1. Bekah says:

These are great choices! I bought a Bible for each my children when they were born and each year I highlight a verse that God gives to me to pray over them. I will give them their Bible when they are older. These would be perfect for that!

  3. Amanda Love says:

That’s a rather great deal. I still prefer the King James Version though but I know a few people who swear by the NIV. Maybe I can get a few for Christmas for them.

  4. Rosey says:

That’s pretty nice that they break it down into genders. There are many things in the Bible specific to one or the other, so I think this is a great way to help teach those things to those who need it most. :)

  5. My church emphasizes using the KJV Bible, but I know sometimes it is easier to understand in plain terms. I love how these are geared toward specific genders.

  6. Jillian says:

Those bibles look pretty fancy. I still have the one I got as a baby.

  7. Amy G says:

  26. jheylo says:

Faith is important that way a person can easily be persuaded by the word of God. And of course action is needed because faith is dead when you don’t act what you have learned.

  27. Lynndee says:

That is such a great sale. We gave our little boy a bible on his birthday early this year. He was really delighted.
