I love having gleaming, pearly white teeth, don’t you? Especially with the holidays coming up! We have been invited to THE party in our city this year and I want those teeth to shine! You know how you see those Hollywood parties at the Hollywood mansions? Lavish, big beautiful displays, incredible food and drinks, great music and usually something spectacular? That is the kind of party we’re going to. And I refuse to have on anything “dull”, most especially my teeth!
Frankly, I am too frugal (aka cheap) to spend a ton of money at the dentist or even expensive whitening kits. So I was super excited when Colgate® sent me several of their whitening products to try.
Before I discuss each product, I’ll tell you that the overall result was fantastic! The package says that I should see brighter, whiter teeth in only one day if I used all of the products. To be honest, I was skeptical. But I figured, “What can it hurt? I’ll give it a go.” After using the products for only a day, my teeth were clearly whiter and brighter. I love it!
So here are the products that I used:
First, the toothpaste. Now, if you use the toothpaste only, it will take longer for you to see results, but you should see results in about four weeks. This new Colgate® Optic White® Platinum Whiten and Protect™ toothpaste whitens below surface stains and it also has ‘WhiteSeal™, which seals out new stains that may occur. The toothpaste had a fresh, minty flavor, and was a bit strong, which I like.
The Colgate® Optic White® Toothbrush is also part of the team. It has stain removers and polishing bristles to help remove surface stains. The handle is more flexible than most toothbrushes that I have used, and I liked the feel of it in my hand.
After brushing, I rinsed with the Colgate® Optic White® WhiteSeal™ Mouthwash. You have to use it twice a day for 60 seconds each time. Let me tell you, 60 seconds feels like an eternity when you’re just standing there swishing around mouthwash. And I don’t like mouthwash. But I was willing to give it a go for whiter teeth! This mouthwash not only kills bad-breath germs, but it also whitens teeth and protects against future stains.
Finally (and in my opinion, the coolest part!), is the toothbrush’s built in whitening pen. Attached to the toothbrush handle, it contains whitening gel that you simply apply to your teeth twice a day after brushing and rinsing with mouth wash. It’s a very unique stay-on gel formula that adheres to your teeth and starts working right off the bat. You don’t even have to rinse it. Just apply and go! I did notice that there was a bit of ‘extra gel’ and I just (ahem, pardon me) spit it out into the sink. The gel contains hydrogen peroxide, which is clinically proven to provide effective whitening.
So you can use all of these products for the biggest, fastest results, or use only a few for results that may take a bit longer. I’m not one who exhibits a huge amount of patience, so I wanted to use everything and see the results quickly.
