Wonderful Sweet Scarlett’s Grapefruit Prize Pack!

sweet scarletts texas

Here in Florida, we know our citrus. I have a grapefruit tree and an orange tree in the backyard. Neighbors have lemons, tangerines and kumquats. There’s plenty of citrus for everybody, and it is good! Our oranges are super sweet and juicy. So when I was approached to try a new ‘brand’ of grapefruit, Wonderful Sweet Scarletts’, a red Texas grapefruit, I was a little bit skeptical. I mean, how could Texas grapefruit be better than the juicy pink ones in my own Florida backyard???

When I eat a grapefruit off my tree, I liberally sprinkle it with sugar. It goes from being super healthy to a tasty, sugary treat. So imagine my surprise when I ate my first Wonderful Sweet Scarlett and put NO sugar on it! Not one tiny little grain! These grapefruits simply do not need extra sweetness. They are deliciously sweet, while still maintaining that unique grapefruit taste.

This is healthy eating at its very best. Did you know that half of one of these grapefruits contains your entire recommended daily Vitamin C? They’re naturally fat, cholesterol and sodium free and only about 60 calories.
