A few days ago I was rushing around trying to figure out what to slap on the table for dinner. I don’t know about you, but my win-win choices for dinner will tick two boxes: they’re reasonably healthy and they’re quick to fix!

The great folks at Gorton’s sent me some coupons for some of their new Smart and Crunchy seafood options, and I remembered that I had some leftovers from a restaurant meal in the fridge, so I decided to put together a super quick meal that I knew that the family would like.

Baked – Not Fried!

I first grabbed a bag of the Gorton’s Smart & Crunchy breaded fish fillets. Let’s talk about those for just a minute. First of all, they’re never fried, and they have 50% less fat than Gorton’s regular fish sticks – the fillets only have 200 calories per serving.

The fillets are 100% wild-caught Alaska Pollock, and they’re breaded with a tasty panko breadcrumb that provides super crunch. Our family loved this! You may be interested in knowing that the entire line of Gorton’s products has no artificial flavors, and no MSG.

So anyway – I baked the fillets and then put them in wraps. Inside the wrap I added some Caesar salad and a little tartar sauce. Voila! Caesar Seafood Wraps. On the side, we had some oven baked fries, leftover shrimp and some coleslaw. Bam! Dinner was served and the family loved it.

Each bag has 8 fillets – and there are 2 per serving. So the bag is a perfect size for a family of 4 (or 5 if you have little ones).

Full of Vitamins and Minerals!

You know, fish and seafood are natural sources of lean protein and critical nutrients like vitamins and minerals including iron, zinc, and vitamins A, B and D. Certain seafoods like these are also full of Omega 3s, which offer a plethora of health benefits. And Gorton’s is easy to keep in your freezer so that you always have a tasty and healthy (and quick!) meal option on hand.

Gorton’s is so excited about their new Smart and Crunchy line that they’re going on tour to introduce it to America. They’ll have coupons, product samples and fun everywhere they stop. For more info about the tour, click here.
