Fun & Easy VBS Snacks

When I was a kid, I LOVED VBS! Loved it. There was something so special about all of the fun things that we did, what we learned, and then putting on some kind of program for our parents at the end of it all.

I was also enchanted by sitting around a campfire. Some of my fondest memories were helping my dad sell Christmas trees at our church’s Christmas tree lot and in the evenings, we’d build a campfire and sit around waiting for customers, drinking hot chocolate and staying cozy and warm.

And, well, who doesn’t love S’mores???

And if you have VBS, you absolutely must have snacks! But if you’re a VBS volunteer, you know that snacks need to be not only tasty, but easy to prepare and cause a minimum amount of mess. So what can we serve at Camp Discovery?

Here’s a quick and easy S’mores snack that the kids will love and so will you because it’s easy and there’s no mess.

Pick up a box of graham cracker cereal, a bag of mini marshmallows and a bag of M&Ms.

Here’s where it gets complicated. Dump all of this into a big bowl and stir it up to mix. Put each serving in a snack-sized ziploc back. Voila! S’mores are ready! No mess, no fire, no one burning their little tongue, no dripping chocolate. Easy!
