Preserving Holiday Traditions with Hickory Farms

Vicki Jami Lori Christmas

This is me and my twin sisters at Christmas when we were little. There are many cherished memories that I have associated with Christmas. One of my favorite traditions and memories is centered around Hickory Farms. For us, we knew that it was Christmas when Hickory Farms showed up at the mall. One of the things that Hickory Farms had was candy – big baskets of all kinds of candy! Every year, my aunt would take my cousin, my sisters and I into Hickory Farms, hand us a bag, and let us help ourselves to all of the Hickory Farms candy that we wanted! Wow! That was magic! Almost like being in Willie Wonka’s Candy Factory!

From that memory, Hickory Farms products have always been Christmas favorites for us, either for ourselves or as gifts. Occasionally someone would give us a gift of Hickory Farms meat and cheese.

Although mom cooked most of our meals, during the busy holiday season, sometimes it was nice to have some cheese, salami and fruit for a quick dinner. We felt so grown up! We would serve this as a nice little appetizer for company, too.

So many traditions center around good food – and at Christmas, we enjoy dessert! Hickory Farms has a great selection of yummy sweets that you can get for your family or to give as gifts. Here’s one that they just sent to us!

This is their Chocolate Decadence Trio. It’s a collection of fudgy Chocolate Chunk Brownies paired with Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies & Espresso Chocolate Chip Cookies that are made with real ground espresso beans. It was difficult to snap a photo of this before we dug in, and it is delicious! We had company come by after Thanksgiving dinner, and everyone enjoyed these treats!

For more than 60 years, Hickory Farms® has been enriching holiday celebrations with the highest quality, best tasting food gifts.  Their dedication to helping you share these traditions has never been stronger.  Whether you’re passing Hickory Farms along to family or helping friends start new traditions, they’re committed to helping you spread joy all year-round.
