Book Review: Isaiah’s Daughter by Mesu Andrews

isaiahs daughter

Mesu Andrews has long been one of my very favorite authors, and Isaiah’s Daughter doesn’t disappoint!

Ishma is a five year old girl who has witnessed the horrors of war and her parents being killed in front of her. She is adopted into the Prophet Isaiah’s household where she is treated like a loved daughter, but it takes her a great deal of time to trust again.

When she is still a child, she meets Prince Hezekiah, who is destined to become king. Their relationship blossoms through the years as they study and play together, but it’s impossible for Hezekiah to marry her, due to their positions in society. Or is it?

This book is a page-turner, and all along you will learn fascinating facts about this period in our biblical history.
